I don't know if Desk Guy was sick or high, but he apparently had no short term memory. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and we slept. The rest of the night went by without any further issues. Then he reaches behind the desk and hands me a rice krispies treat "for your troubles". I remind him of the entire night's activities and he encodes 2 new keys for me. I told him my keys were no longer working and somehow this guy doesn't remember who I am, after I was down there 2 minutes ago, after all the foolishness we'd endured thus far. Desk guy again comes out from the office and yes, the hotel is still full. He clicks around for a few minutes and tells me I'm all set. I declined, opening my credit card app and showing him the earlier charges. He says he needs to check me in properly and asks me to again insert my credit card. I tell him, and remind him of our various adventures together that night, and he tells me nobody is checked into room xxx. He asks me who I am and what room I'm in. I told him I was coming down so we could work out the room issue without continuing to wake up my kids. Desk guy comes out from the little office behind the desk and says hello and I joined him in saying the hotel is full. 5 minutes later the phone is ringing again, so I unplugged it and headed downstairs. I reminded him about the 10 minutes he spent looking for my room and about the return trip for towels and toilet paper. Desk guy wants to know who I am and how I got into room xxx. My kids were asleep so I apologized to the other family (because apparently the hotel was full) and invoked squatters rights. Desk guy has assigned our room to another family. I stick my head outside and there's another family with keys that open our door. At 1:30 someone is trying to get into our room. The clerk went and found what I needed and I headed back up. I said cool, you just checked us into room xxx about 10 minutes ago. I went back downstairs to get these things and the guy greets me and tells me the hotel is full. Seems ok, but it lacked toilet paper and towels. After about 10 minutes of watching this guy click around the computer and constantly blow his nose into a growing pile of napkins, he hands me 2 keys, tells me about breakfast, etc. I open the app and show him my reservation and confirmation number.

I tell him great, I'm one of the people making it full and that we have a reservation. We arrived around midnight and the clerk walks up and tells me the hotel is full. The guy on the phone looked up our reservation and assured me we were all set. The app didn't work so I called the hotel to let them know I'd be arriving late and would like to make sure we wouldn't lose our room. I knew we would be arriving late, so I attempted to check in and select my room on the app. Our experience at this location was horrible. We usually seek out Home2 Suites for short trips because they're usually reliable and you know what you're getting. Teens dominating business computers in lobby playing games. Dishwasher insulation hanging out the side. Shower had empty bottles of shampoo & shower soap on the walls. Shower had some rust and poor caulking in corners.
Again, broken trim on shower sides of this room. Breakfast was to begin at 7AM but not available till about 7:20AM. Broken plastic shower water shield cut my arm.
Hope ownership would devote more attention to repairs. Nice location, newer building, nice room features.
